“You never know what you’re going to find. It varies from day to day. We have something for everyone,” says manager Jean Allred.

Aisles are labeled as streets, with names including Oxford, Kings Row and Piccadilly Place.360 View of High Street Antiques and Design

At one corner, booth 1959 features a Victor Victrola phonograph record player, circa 1914, for $795. A Wallace & Sons 19th-century Bristol hanging parlor lamp is $845.

Shoppers of all ages visit the store to peruse the booths and stop for lunch at the Chocolate Angel Cafe and Tea Room in the rear of the store. RPK_5142

“Back in the ’90s we had more of a senior crowd,” says Allred, a mall veteran. “Now we’re seeing a real turnaround. We have many 30- and 40-somethings. They’re taking older things and making them new. The big thing is painted furniture. You paint it and it sells,” she says.”

High Street Antiques & Design is conveniently located off of Highway 75 North at Plano Parkway – just across from the Collin Creek Mall.
